Mama’ku follows artist Cheroney Pelupessy as she travels with her mother to Indonesia to uncover her troubled youth and mend their relationship.

A film about motherhood, intergenerational trauma and finding your roots.

The film premiered at the Nederlands Film Festival in September 2025 and is released in cinemas in the summer of 2026.
